Origami #2 – Fuchsia, 2014
Artist: Kenneth Hall
“Art is an endless thing…it’s a delightful struggle to keep up. I go to my studio. I do art. It’s my song. Sometimes I compose, sometimes I just sing. It’s personal; an inquiry; an exploration – it’s life.”
Description:
Folded, bent, and welded steel, powder coat
126 in. h x 72 in. w x 72 in. d
Inspired by small paper origami flowers that sat upon his desk, Ken Hall's Origami Fuchsia #2 created folded steel flower forms that soar gracefully above gently arcing stems of steel. Powder coated in a bright purple, the steel flowers pop with interest from the patina surface of the steel forms upon which they sit.
Artist Ken Hall, aims to delight and create artwork with energy, balance and unity in a form where everything belongs and nothing is missing.
