This cache is best found at night and the difficulty level has been assigned because you'll need a flashlight. The cache coordinates will take you to a location in which you will use your flashlight to identify the location of the cache. The container is a reminder of something that thrives in dark places.
The location you are at belongs to Berea College and has served as the home of its Forestry Department, which has moved to a new modern building just down the road, at the Indian Fort Mountain (also known as the Pinnacles) Hiking Trails parking area. The building at this location has been leased and is used for other purposes. The tenants have been informed there is a geocache on-site, but still may get curious as they learn about geocaching.
From the opposite side of this parking lot, you can access the West Pinnacle Trailhead, which will lead you up the mountain to the beautiful overlooks highlighting Berea and its surrounding region. Trails are open during daylight hours only.
Berea College is a private liberal arts college, established in 1855 by John G. Fee. In 1897 Berea College initiated a forestry effort led by Silas C. Mason. Silas's forestry impact has survived, and Berea College currently manages 8,000 acres of forest land.
