Taiwan Challenge — All 22 Regions in Taiwan Mystery Cache

(NOTE: The actual "politically correct name" for each administrative region of Taiwan can get confusing because some parts are called "special municipalities" whereas others are known as "provincial cities" or just simply "counties." To simplify things for this cache and for the sake of argument, I have called ALL the different colored sections in the map above Regions.)

For your reference, Taiwan is divided into 22 different administrative regions.

6 of these regions, namely Taipei, New Taipei, Taoyuan, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung are known as Special Municipalities.

3 of these regions, namely Keelung, Hsinchu, and Chiayi are known as Provincial Cities.

And the remaining 13, namely Yilan, Hualien, Taitung, Pingtung, Chiayi, Yunlin, Changhua, Nantou, Miaoli, Hsinchu, Kinmen, Penghu, and Lienchiang are known as Counties.

(Note: In the list above, the names Hsinchu and Chiayi are used twice. Each of those names just happens to have both a Provincial City and a County named after them, hence their names appearing twice and thus creating two more additional regions.)

This geocache is dedicated to the GeoLove all around Taiwan and even more so, is dedicated to all those hardcore cachers who will rise to the challenge and go to any length for a find and achieve an elusive goal in the quest!

This cache is a Challenge Cache and the cache IS at the posted coordinates.

In order to log this find online you must:

• Complete the Challenge

In order to fulfill this challenge, you must have found at least ONE geocache in EVERY region in Taiwan. (ANY type of cache EXCEPT Lab Cache can be used to fulfill this challenge. For more information on the different kinds of caches, you can click here.) Please note also that this Challenge Cache CANNOT be counted towards fulfilling this challenge. Also, the different cache icons on the colored map above are for reference only and may not be a true indication of which kind of geocache type is available in the different regions. Please refer to the Geocaching App or website for current caches available.

Note: The D5 rating for this cache reflects the difficulty of completing this challenge. The difficulty of finding the actual cache is D1.5.

Also please note that on the way to this cache, you will come to a wooden gate. I have spoken to the farmers here and they told me that the gate is there to prevent dogs from going into this area to eat the crops but the road beyond the gate is of course open to the public and visitors can simply undo the hook to walk on in. So rest assured, cachers, that the way to the GZ is safe and away from private property.
