Mlyn slouzil svemu ucelu az do roku 1940.
Verner’s Mill was founded around 1630s as the part of nearby Citoliby shire. During times belonged to millers families of Kopriva, Sochor and Verner and was several times reconstructed. All the owners kept the Mill in perfect technical condition.
5 storeys building (baroque with empire frontage) embedded the actual milling facility where there are all technological part still in existence including both the vertical and horizontal transport connections among all machines.
Water wheel – originally used “lower” water and further on “upper” water from mill race, which was in the beginning of 20th century backed up with oil engine Laurin & Klement “system BRONS” (technological rarity, still working) and later replaced by electric motor. The Mill was operated for his original purpose till 1940. Creek was moved due to soil amelioration, so the Mill is now without water.
After years of decay was mill renovated by present owners and now a days hosts unique exposition completely well-preserved milling technology from 19th and 1st third of 20th century.
The Cache is hidden outside of the Mill areal; please do not trample flowers.
Kes je mimo areal mlyna. Pri hledani nedupejte, prosim, po kytickach.
