1833 : Comme toutes les belles histoires, celle de Garnier-Thiebaut commence par un mariage célébré chez les marchands de toile, celui de Virginie Thiébaut et de Jean-Baptiste Garnier. Ils créent ensemble en 1833 la société de tissage GARNIER-THIEBAUT. La solidité et l'éclat de Gérardmer font sa notoriété dès le 19ème siècle. La maîtrise de la technique du jacquard positionne définitivement la société familiale comme un acteur majeur du linge de maison.
1870 : La première usine textile Garnier-Thiebaut est construite à Gérardmer.
1933 : La société se développe et abrite deux usines de tissage, une usine de blanchiment, et deux importants ateliers de confection.
1944 : L'usine est rasée. Il faut attendre cinq ans pour que l'usine renaisse de ses cendres et que les métiers à tisser bourdonnent à nouveau.
2009 : Ouverture du 1er magasin Garnier-Thiebaut à Paris
2012 : Lancement du traitement Green Sweet pour les nappes blanches. Nouveau shop-in-the-shop au Printemps, Paris Haussmann.
2013 : Garnier-Thiebaut fête ses 180 ans
