Activity: Weed removal, mulch spreading, and some new plantings
We'll be doing a variety of tasks including keeping invasive morning glory and clematis from crowding young trees; trimming and digging invasive Himalayan blackberry roots; removing English ivy from trees and understory; spreading mulch; and possibly planting some trees and shrubs.
Some work gloves will be available but if possible please bring your own gloves. Tools will be provided. The event will run rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather and activity.
Parking is available all around Jericho Park. The parking coordinates provided are for the pay parking lot and West 4th Avenue. There should be lots of free parking available on the streets around the pay parking lot and along West 4th Avenue.
Snacks and drinks will be provided. Also, the Jericho Beach Concession Stand and public washrooms will be open.
All participants will receive a Geocaching Souvenir for participating in this event.
