Tämä Virtual Reward-kätkö on Suomen Ruotsin ja Norjan yhteinen rajapiste, sekä maailman pohjoisin kolmen valtoin rajapiste. Suomen ja Norjan rajakäynnissä vuonna 1897 määrättiin rajojen tarkka yhtymä kohta ja todettiin sen osuvan Koltajärveen. Järveen rakennettiin kivinen tekosaari ja sille 2.5 metriä korkea rajamerkki. Vuonna 1901 pidettyyn yhteiseen raja katselmukseen osallistui Suomen Ruotsin ja Norjan edustajat ja rajamerkki hyväksyttiin. Nykyinen rajamerkki on rakennettu vuonna 1926 . se rakennettiin, koska kevätjäät olivat rikkoneet alkuperäisen rajamerkin useaan kertaan. Rajamerkki on betonista tehty ja sen päällä olevaan sydän kiveen on merkitty keskeiset vuosiluvut 1897, 1901 ja 1926.

Voit käyttää kuvan toteutuksessa mielikuvitusta. Kasvojesi ei tarvitse kuvassa näkyä. Rajapyykki sijaitsee koordinaateissa N69 03.598 E020 32.918. Rajapyykille pääsee kesäisin Kilpisjärven kylästä Koltalahteen kulkevalla Malla-laivalla. Koltalahdesta on vajaan kolmen kilometrin kävely pyykille. Rajapyykille pääsee myös kävelemällä 11 kilometrin matkan Mallan luonnonpuiston halki. Rajapyykin saa vapaasti kiertää, jos mukana ei ole tullattavia tavaroita, sillä kaikki kolme rajaa ovat Schengen-alueen sisärajoja. Pohjoismaiden kansalaisilla ei tarvitse olla mukana edes passia. Olisi mukava saada tietoa kätköpaikalla lokkausta tehdessä vallitsevista sääolosuhteista, kuten lämpötilasta.
This Virtual Reward-cache is the boundary mark of Finland, Sweden and Norway and it is the worlds northernmost point that marks the common boundary point of three countries. In 1897 Finland and Norway had a border negotiation where it was decided that the boundary mark need to be in Koltajärvi. An artificial island was constructed out of stone onto which the 2.5 metres high boundary mark was constructed. In 1901 another border negotiation was held between Finland, Norway and Sweden and it was agreed upon by all three countries. the current mark was built in 1926 out of concrete after the original marker was broken multiple times by spring ice. Markers notable years 1897, 1901 and 1926 have been inscribed onto the heart rock that lays on top of the boundary mark.
Mission: To log this cache you are supposed to take a picture of yourself or something that belongs to you while getting the text "Suomi 1926" that has been written onto the boundary mark into the same picture and add the picture to your message. It is recommended to use imagination while taking the picture. Your face does not need to be in the picture but the picture needs to have something on it that shows you actually were there taking the picture. The boundary mark is located in coordinates N69 03.598 E020 32.918. You can reach the site by taking a tourist-boat called "Malla" from the town of Kilpisjärvi. The boat will take you to Koltalahti where you need to walk aproximately three kilometres to reach the boundary mark. You may also reach the boundary mark by walking 11 kilometres through Malla-national park. You may freely walk around the boundary mark as long as you have nothing to clear through customs as going around the marker makes you enter into Sweden, Norway and Finland. Citizens of Nordic countries do not need passport to enter the different countries around the boundary mark as all three countries are within the Schengen contract.
