GENTES D’OLHÃO
(PT) Nas coordenadas indicadas poderá apreciar uma merecida Homenagem às GENTES D’OLHÃO, povo do mar e da terra responsável pelo desenvolvimento e tipicismo deste município, Capital da Ria Formosa.
Aqui poderá apreciar os Marítimos d’Olhão, cuja fama remonta a 1758 quando o Rei de Portugal só deles se servia para as suas galeotas da “Ribeira das Naus”; as Conserveiras d’Olhão, profissão existente desde 1901 com a instalação da primeira fábrica de conservas no Largo coincidente com as coordenadas; as Camponesas d’Olhão que traziam, e trazem, para o mercado os legumes frescos, frutas, queijos, enchidos, etc. e também as típicas Tabernas olhanenses entre outros locais de “Olhão da Restauração”.
COMO LOGAR ESTA CACHE
Para logar esta cache deverá:
1. Publicar uma fotografia do rosto de uma das pessoas que encontra na Homenagem às Gentes d’Olhão. Unicamente uma das faces! Serão apagadas todas as fotografias que revelem parcial ou totalmente o conteúdo da Homenagem.
2. Enviar para mim, por e.mail, o significado da escultura existente no GZ e o nome da jovem.

(ENG) At the given coordinates you may enjoy a merited Tribute to the PEOPLE OF OLHÃO, people of the sea and the land responsible for the development and the typical way of life of this municipality, Capital of Ria Formosa.
Here you may appreciate the Fishermans from Olhão, whose reputation goes back to 1758 when the King of Portugal was only using them for their small galleys from Ribeira das Naus; the Can Women Job from Olhão, which is an existent occupation since 1901 that started with the installation of the first can factory in the Square that matches with the given coordinates; the peasant women from Olhão that use to bring, and keep still bringing, fresh vegetables, fruits, cheese, chorizos, etc., to the market and also the typical Taverns from Olhão among other places of “Olhão of Restoration”.
HOW TO CLAIM THIS GEOCACHE?
To log this cache you will need:
1. To publish a picture of a single face from the ones that you can find in the Tribute to PEOPLE OF OLHÃO. Just a single face! All the pictures that reveal a part or the totality of the Tribute will be deleted!
2. To send me, by e-mail, the meaning of the existing sculpture in GZ and the name of the young woman.
