  This classified historic monument, conceived by János Fadrusz and opened in 1902, represents Matthias Corvinus. Matthias Corvinus (Matthias the Just) (February 23, 1443 – April 6, 1490) was king of Hungary and Croatia, ruling between 1458 and 1490. Corvinus is derived from the Latin for "raven", thus he is also referred to as "the Raven King" (A raven is emblazoned on his coat of arms). He was also crowned King of Bohemia in 1469, and ruled Moravia, Silesia, and Lusatia; from 1486, Matthias was Duke of Austria. The secondary figures of the monument are the leaders of the famous black army, on the left Balázs Magyar and Pál Kinizsi, on the right István Báthory and István Szapolyai.

 Acest monument istoric clasificat, conceput de János Fadrusz a fost inaugurat în 1902 și îl reprezintă pe Matia Corvin. Matia Corvin (Matia I sau mai des Matei Corvin) (23 februarie 1443 - 6 aprilie 1490) a fost rege al Ungariei și al Croației, condus între 1458 și 1490. Corvinus este derivat din latină pentru "corbul", astfel că el este denumit și " Regele Corb "(Un corb este inscriptionat pe stema sa). De asemenea, a fost încoronat rege al Boemiei în 1469 și a condus Moravia, Silezia și Lusatia; Din 1486, Matthias a fost Ducele de Austria. Figurile secundare ale monumentului sunt conducătorii al armatei negre, pe stânga Balázs Magyar și Pál Kinizsi, pe dreapta István Báthory și István Szapolyai.

 A Mátyás király emlékmű Fadrusz János leghíresebb alkotása. A Mátyás emlékművet 1902. október 12-én avatták fel Kolozsvár főterén és Hunyadi Mátyást testesíti meg. Hunyadi Mátyás (I Mátyás (1443. február 23.– 1490. április 6.). A Corvinus, azaz Hollós melléknevét a Hunyadi-család hollót ábrázoló címeréről kapta. Hivatalos uralkodói címe eredetileg Magyarország, Dalmácia, Horvátország, Ráma, Szerbia, Galícia, Lodoméria, Kunország és Bulgária királya volt, ehhez csatlakozott 1469 után, cseh királlyá választásától a Csehország királya cím is. Magyarország királya 1458 és 1490 között. Az emlékmű mellékalakjai a fekete sereg vezérei, balról Magyar Balázs és Kinizsi Pál, jobbról Báthory István és Szapolyai István.
