Veliki škurh (Numenius arquata) je ptica selivka, ki velja za kritično ogroženo gnezdilko v Sloveniji, saj stalno gnezdi le še na nekaterih delih Ljubljanskega barja. Do tega nesrečnega statusa jih je pripeljalo izginjanje njihovega življenjskega okolja, predvsem obalnih mokrišč na njihovih selitvenih poteh in prezimovališčih.
Nekaj stalnih gnezdišč velikega škurha se nahaja tudi v občini Škofljica, na kar so domačini še posebej ponosni. Zaradi vsega naštetega ni čudno, da je veliki škurh svoje mesto našel tudi v občinskem grbu in zastavi in s tem postal simbol in zaščitnik občine Škofljica.
Izhodiščne koordinate virtualnega zaklada se nahajajo v centralnem občinskem parku na Škofljici, kjer boste takoj opazili skulpturo velikega škurha. Tam vas čakajo spodaj opisane naloge.
Virtualno priznanje - 2017/2018

Eurasian Curlew (Numenius arquata) is a migratory bird that is considered as a critically endangered nesting bird in Slovenia, since it constantly nests only in some parts of the Ljubljansko barje moor. This unfortunate status has been given due to the disappearance of their living environment, especially coastal wetlands on their migration routes and wintering sites.
Some permanent nesting places of the Eurasian Curlew can be found in the municipality of Škofljica, on what the locals are especially proud of. Because of all that, it is not surprising that Eurasian Curlew found his place in the municipal coat of arms and flag and became the symbol and protector of the municipality Škofljica.

1. Nekje na skulpturi velikega škurha boste našli letnico postavitve skulpture. Kot odgovor mi pošljite letnico in kje na skulpturi se nahaja.
2. Posnemite fotografijo sebe in/ali svoje GPS naprave s skulpturo v ozadju in jo objavite v dnevniškem zapisu. Ni nujno, da je na sliki viden vaš obraz. Zaželjeno je, da se slikate medtem ko crkljate velikega škurha, kako izvirni boste pri fotografiji pa je na koncu odvisno od vas.
Slike in dnevniški vpisi, ki bodo vsebovali odgovore (spoiler) bodo izbrisani brez opozorila!
