Most of them lived a hundred Jews in Marstrand, mainly craftsmen and traders and their families. Scandinavia's first synagogue was established here in 1780 in the Northern Armed Forces. However, the Jewish colony was not so long-lived, but was erupted in 1795 and moved, mainly to Gothenburg.
