Although not the first Mariner to be inducted into the hall of fame, Dave Niehaus the voice of the Mariners was the first, Griffey is by far the most notable.
I'll never forget the 1995 season when the M's came back against the scourge of the earth in the 11th inning of game 5 of the 1995 ALDS with the Kid sitting on first base. Good old Edgar came to the plate and delivered the double down the line!! As Griffey rounded third our hearts were about to burst and then, as he slid across home, we almost lost our minds! Do I need say more.
