St. Marien zu Lübeck
Die Kirche der Kaufleute wurde von 1277 - 1351 an der höchsten Stelle der Lübecker Altstadtinsel erbaut.
Als Mutterkirche der norddeutschen Backsteingotik ist die Marienkirche Vorbild für ca. 70 Kirchen gleichen Stils im Ostseeraum.
Auch heute noch beherbert die Kirche das höchste Backsteingewölbe der Welt mit 38,5m Höhe.
Aber heute sind wir nicht hier um Baugeschichte zu studieren, wir wollen uns die Sagen rund um die Kirche näher ansehen.

An den Listingkoordinaten findet ihr eine "Lebensgroße" Teufelsfigur auf einem Stein sitzend!
1) Eure Logaufgabe ist es ein Foto von euch zu machen (Gesicht oder andere Identifikationsmerkmale brauchen nicht gezeigt werden) wie ihr dem Teufel an das Knie fasst (nur das Knie, nichts anderes als das Knie) (Beispielfoto).
Bitte versteht, dass wir andere Fotos nicht akzeptieren werden, und wir euer Log ohne das Foto leider löschen müssen.

In der Kirche hinter dem Altar Die Maus
Da die Kirche inzwischen leider einen Eintritt von 4€ verlangt ist dieser Teil nur optional, auch wenn dieses der Lieblingsmythos von 50% von uns ist:
Die kleine Maus auf dem Wandbild hinter dem Altar bringt Glück, sofern man sie streichelt. Deswegen ist sie auch im Gegensatz zu dem restlichen Wandbild Pechschwarz.
3 optional) Sucht das Wandbild hinter dem Altar, findet dort die Maus und macht bitte ein Foto (Beispielfoto) davon wie ihr sie streichelt.
4) Sucht euch eine der Mythen heraus und beschreibt uns bitte was ihr glaubt, wie die Sage um die betreffende Figur lautet. Sofern ihr die Geschichte nicht kennt, umso besser, wir würden wirklich sehr gerne eure Interpretation der Geschichte lesen. Die Auflösung findet sich im Netz, aber die kennen wir bereits!

St. Marys Church
The church of the merchants of Lübeck was build between 1277 - 1351 on the highest peak of Lübecks oldtown island.
As a role model for northern german brick gothik St. Marys served as example for about 70 other churches in the baltic area.
It has the tallest brick vault in the world, the height of the central nave being 38.5 metres (126 ft).
But were not here to study architectural history, we want to see the legends of St.Marys church.

In the church behind the altar The Mouse
Unfortunatly the church is charging a 4€ entry fee, so this task is optional, even that this is the favorite legend of one of us.
The small mouse at one of the murals behind the main altar provides good luck, as soon as you’re petting it. That’s the reason, why it’s plain black instead of the bright sandstone color of the rest of the mural.
3 optional) Please find the mural behind the altar, find the Mouse and take a picture while you pet the Mouse ( example picture)
4) Please select one of the three legends, and tell us, what you believe is the reason behind the legend. If you don’t know the story behind the legends, that’s great, we would really like to hear your interpretations. You sure will find the story in the internet, but we know that story already.
