Glory Hills is 110 acres of dense aspen forest, open grassland, wetlands and Sterling Lake. It is home to many iconic Canadian wildlife including moose, beavers, coyotes, deer, fishers, foxes, ruffed grouse, a breeding pair of loons, and is adjacent to a colony of great blue herons.
Edmonton Area Land Trust has created 39 next boxes for birds and one nesting platform for loons. This makes Glory Hills an ideal spot for bird watchers. Through extensive work EALT is also recovering the lake shore by decreasing the number of invasive plants species and increasing the number of native plant species.
