This is a gathering of geocachers to visit with other geocachers from near and far and discuss the fun, beautiful, and interesting geocaches you've been finding lately. You know how all geocachers love to tell of their victories and the fun and successes in their finds, or pain and disappointment in a DNF. Maybe you can help another cacher with a hint for a cache they could not find. We will provide light refreshments to get you going early in the day, and maybe give a boost to your cache hunting later on. After the event, we invite you to partake in a fun day of hunting some new geocaches we are releasing for you to enjoy which will help you discover beautiful pieces of art in locations that are around the City of Auburn. If this sounds like fun, plan to stick around after the event to pick up a geo-passport, and use your smartphone or GPSr to find the 20 new caches in this year's Adventure. We will have someone available to load the coordinates on your GPSr, but believe that all geocaches will be in cell service area for those using a smart phone app. Your reward? A beautifully designed coin by Nepokama. Please remember that only one passport and coin per household, so we may provide a reward to as many people as possible. See preview below of the coin.
Please log your "Will Attend" with the number in your party so we will know how many to prepare for. If you have attended in prior years, you can see we have moved up the Event by two weeks this year, and feel the weather will still be nice by the end of September. All geocaches will be released at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017. Thank you to those who have attended the previous events, and please spread the word to your friends and invite them this year.
