FSC-2017 IS COMING!
This will be the 9th year for this annual First State Challenge sponsored by Delaware Geocachers!

LAUNCH DATE for the CACHES is Saturday September 23, 2017.

CELEBRATION EVENT WILL BE 7 WEEKS LATER ON NOVEMBER 11, 2017.

This event is open to all Geocachers regardless of whether or not any FSC-2017 caches were found and logged. We hope to see everyone there.

Date: Saturday, November 11, 2017
Time: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Place: Cowboy Up
Address: Lafferty Lane and Bay Rd, Dover, DE
(Just North of Dover Air Base)

Cowboy Up will open early just for us--we will have the place to ourselves.

Order any food items you want from their menu. Separate checks will be given. Gratuity is NOT included on the check.

Please log a "will attend" log and include how many are in your party. This will help us plan with the restaurant.

FSC-2017 GEOTRAIL


For FSC-2017 there will be 16 new caches spread across the state of Delaware hidden by volunteer cachers to give you an appreciation for the diverse areas throughout the First State.

FSC-2017 Rules


1. FSC-2017 will begin on September 23, 2017.

2. You MUST find and log the NORTHERNMOST and SOUTHERNMOST FSC-2017 caches.
NOTE: NORTHERNMOST or SOUTHERNMOST is clearly stated in the Cache Details section of those 2 cache pages.

3. You must find and log at least 13 out of the other 14 FSC-2017 caches.

4. Cache logs must be signed with geocaching.com names (NO ad hoc team names).

5. Record the codeword found at each hide.

6. There is a downloadable FSC-2017 Cache Listing form found on www.geocachingde.com: FSC 2017 Cache Listing

7. Use of the FSC-2017 Cache Form is NOT mandatory, but all of the information on it must be submitted. (Your name, geocaching name, GC number, cache name & corresponding code.)

8. Send your completed list of FSC-2017 Cache Form info to FirstStateChallenge@aol.com.

9. Each cacher must submit their info individually. (NO combined forms!)

10. Required info MUST be received by Wednesday November 8, 2017 at 8PM. NO forms can be accepted after this time.

11. GC7AFFA FSC-2017 Celebration Event held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 1 PM to 4 PM in Dover. The event is open to all cachers whether or not they have found any of the FSC-2017 Caches.

12. At the FSC-2017 Celebration Event, those cachers that have been verified as completing the challenge may be eligible for the following:
- Completion certificate
- a special token

13. Special tokens may be limited to the first 100 cachers who complete the challenge.

14. Special tokens and certificates MUST be picked up at the FSC-2017 Celebration Event. (If you can’t attend please have someone pick up your items for you.)
