[LAT] Pirmās ziņas par dižakmeni Ipiķu pagasta nomalē, mežā uz Latvijas – Igaunijas robežas 2010.gadā sniedza Valsts Mežu Dienesta Kultūras mantojuma apzināšanas projekta Ipiķu pagasta inventarizētājs Mārtiņš Līdums. Līdz tam nekas par šādu lielu akmeni nebija zināms.
Atrast akmeni samēra viegli. Robeža pati par sevi ir samērā viegli atrodams orientieris. Konkrētā posmā tā gan nedaudz sākusi aizaugt ar brikšņiem, tomēr lielais akmens sasniedzams diezgan viegli. Akmenim dots Pārrobežu dižakmens nosaukums. Un pilnīgi pamatoti – akmens atrodas tieši uz robežas: puse no tā Latvijai, otra puse – Igaunijai. Tieši pāri akmens platajai mugurai uzkrāsots melnbalts robežas marķējums.
Veicot akmens uzmērīšanu, secināts, ka tas ir pat lielāks nekā sākotnēji novērtēts. 5,4 m garais, 3,8 m platais un 2,6 m augstais granītpegmatīta bluķis ir gandrīz 14 metru apkārtmērā un 24 kubikmetrus liels. Akmens virsmā izpētes rezultātā atrodam arī vēsturiskus iekalumus, kas slēpušies zem sūnām un līdz šim palikuši nepamanīti. Pašā akmens augšā iekalts skaitlis 380 un trīsstūris ar punktu vidū un 15 cm garu līniju tā augšējā stūrī, kas norāda robežas virzienu. Otrs iekalums atrodas akmens virsmas Latvijas puses malā – tur iekalta parasta robežzīme: 11 x 14 cm liels krustiņš ar 2 cm dziļu punktu vidū. Mazākais iekalums liecina, ka pie akmens bijusi arī zemnieku saimniecību zemju robeža.
Piekļuve pie akmens visvieglāka no Igaunijas puses, no norādītas parkošanas vietas apmērām 400 metri gar robežu uz A pusi. No Latvijas puses ceļš palika neizpētīts, bet mēģināt var.

The first information about the boulder at the outskirts of the Ipiku parish, in the forest on the Latvian-Estonian border in 2010, was provided by Martins Lidums, inventor of the Ipiķu Parish inventory project for the State Forest Service's Cultural Heritage. Until then nothing was known about such a large stone.
Find the stone easily. The border itself is a relatively easy to find landmark. At a certain stage, it has started to overgrown, but the big stone can be reached quite easily. The name of the Cross Border is given to the stone. And quite rightly - the stone is located directly on the border: half of it to Latvia, the other half to Estonia. A black and white border mark is painted over the wide-backside of the stone.
When measuring the stone, it is concluded that it is even higher than originally evaluated. 5.4 m long, 3.8 m wide and 2.6 m high granite pegmatite bug are almost 14 meters in circumference and 24 cubic meters in size. As a result of the research on the stone surface, we also find historical entangles underneath the mosses and have so far been left unnoticed. At the top of the stone is digit 380 and a triangle with a middle point and a 15-cm long line at its upper corner indicating the direction of the border. The second lining is on the side of the stone surface on the side of Latvia - there is a normal border mark: a 11 x 14 cm cross with a 2 cm deep point in the middle.
Access to the stone is the easiest from Estonia, from the designated parking about of 400 meters along the border to the E side. On the part of Latvia, the road remained unexplored, but it was possible to try.
