Geocache Description:

This cache requires you to have
100% of The Jasmer Challenge completed.

This cache IS at the posted coordinates, however you must meet
the conditions of the challenge in order to claim a find on this cache.

The Jasmer Challenge
In December of 2008, Jasmerb created the first Jasmer Challenge (GC1GBC1). The Jasmer Challenge requires that you have logged at least one cache that was placed in every month back to the start of Geocaching (May 2000). He then provided a GSAK Macro to help chart your progress and that chart soon became known as the Jasmer Grid. This challenge takes a fair amount of travel and a lot of perseverance to complete the entire thing.

My Jasmer Challenge

This Cache Requirements
This cache is for the full completion of The Jasmer Challenge. There is no need to find the caches in any particular order as long as your grid has 100% of the months found. You must have the current month completed as well. At the time this cache was published, there were 211 boxes on the grid to be filled.

Verify Qualification
You may use this Challenge Checker to make sure that you qualify to log a find on this cache. All "Found it" logs will be verified and those that do not qualify will be deleted. There are many ways to see your progress on the Jasmer Challenge, but the following seem to be the most common...

  • My Geocaching Profile has a "My Jasmer Challenge Progress" graph for your profile.
  • Project-GC contains a "Finds By Hidden Month" chart on their profile tab.
  • GSAK Macro that Jasmerb created can be downloaded and run.

Rules to Logging
Feel free to illustrate your qualification for this challenge any way that you see fit, but you are encouraged to upload something. You may still sign the log before completing the challenge by using a "Write note" log to record your find. Then you may post a "Found it" log once you have qualified. Only a "Found it" log will be considered for the FTF.

Ever Growing
The thing that makes The Jasmer Challenge unique is that it is always growing. Each year that passes, the total months possible increases by 12. Not only are you looking for old caches to fill squares of the past, but you are also waiting with great anticipation for new caches to publish each month so you can fill the new squares as well.

Good luck on your Jasmer Challenge and I hope that you have as much fun filling each and every box as I am! If you do not qualify for this cache yet, then you may like to try the 75% of The Jasmer Challenge cache.

**Congratulations to Active-Fire for being the FTF!**

Please Note: The difficulty rating shown above is based on how difficult it is to meet the challenge requirements and the terrain rating is based on the physical cache location.
