Geocache Description:

Please include the total number in your group so we can get a good count in anticipation of supplies needed.

Woodland Trails Park is the cornerstone of the River Trails Park District. The park contains the Marvin Weiss Community Center, pool, skate park, softball/baseball field, sled hill, plenty of bike/walk paths, sand volleyball courts, mini golf and playground. The park is also adjacent to the Rob Roy Golf Course and driving range.

Join the park district staff as we help the district remove the invasive buckthorn from the wooded area. The CITO will be from 9 - 11 am. Meet at parking and we will take the short walk to GZ. Only use the south parking lot if there is no space in the one off Wolf Road

The district will supply as many gloves, manual and power tools as possible but if you have a sturdy pair of work gloves or a specific tool you like to use you may want to bring your own. There is some poison ivy along the woods areas so come dressed appropriately.

There are many caches in the areas surrounding the park and several forest preserve along the Des Plaines River to the east.

Come for the event in the morning and make a day of caching the area.
