I can't think of a better place to view the 2017 Solar Eclipse in the area than at Goddard Space Flight Center.
When: August 21st, 2017 1:30-2:30
Where: Goddard Space Flight Center Visitor Center located off ICESat Road. Once on ICESat Road, turn left into the Visitor Center prior to the security checkpoint.
Why: To view the Solar Eclipse
Who: Whoever wants to be there.
The Visitor Center, which is usually closed on Mondays, will be open from 12 noon until 3pm on August 21st for the Solar Eclipse. Special viewing glasses will be provided for those who attend. I will be there with a log book and will raffle off a couple of NASA related items for those who attend the event.
