El pueblo de Purmamarca, (en lengua aimara purma significa desierto y marca ciudad, literalmente "ciudad del desierto", pero desierto en dicha lengua significa también la tierra inculta, no tocada por la mano humana, de allí que la traducción más adecuada en esta lengua sea "pueblo de la Tierra Virgen"1y en quechua “pueblo del león”), estos topónimos se relacionan a la etnia omaguaca; Purmamarca se encuentra atravesada por la Ruta 52, a 3 km al oeste de la Ruta 9, a 65 km de San Salvador de Jujuy y a 25 km de Tilcara.
Quizás sea el más pintoresco pueblo de la quebrada de Humahuaca aunque geográficamente pertenezca a otra quebrada transversal homónima, rodeada por sierras multicolores. Esta ancha quebrada esta surcada por el Rio de La Quebrada de Purmamarca, en cuyo margen se encuentra el cache. Son típicos los cardones del ecosistema de los cerros y dan una característica propia a la región.
The Place

En Argentina el Geocaching todavía no es tan popular como en otros países, y es común que los geomuggles roben los cachés por simple diversión. Por lo tanto, busca y recoge el cache cuando nadie esté mirando, siempre intenta pasar desapercibido. y luego deja el caché tal y como lo hayas encontrado!
