L'ancienne gare de Carcans se trouvait au kilomètre 56,8 sur la ligne Facture-Lesparre. Inaugurée en 1884, elle servait surtout au transport des produits forestiers issus des plantations de pins. A l'époque, il n'existait bien sûr pas de camions ni de routes goudronnées. La gare est maintenant une propriété privée. L'ancienne voie ferrée a été transformée en piste cyclable jusqu'à Hourtin.

The former station of Carcans was at kilometer 56.8 on the line Facture-Lesparre. Inaugurated in 1884, it was used mainly to transport forest products from pine plantations. At the time, there were of course no trucks or paved roads. The station is now a private property. The old railway line was converted into a cycle path up to Hourtin.
