A Sra Hildegard Jacobsen doou este terreno para a implantação da Praça Herbert Jacobsen. A praça fica situada na Rua Coronel Ferddersen, em uma das regiões mais nobres da cidade. No trajeto você encontra as lindas mansões estilo germânicas.
Peter Christian Feddersen nasceu no dia 05 de outubro de 1857, na cidade de Tondern - Schleswig-Holstein - Atual Dinamarca. Na metade do século 19 esta região estava sob domínio dos alemães, que ainda não estava organizados como país - o que de fato somente ocorreu em 1871. Peter Christian Feddersen chegou como migrante na cidade de Santos com aproximadamente19 anos e ainda não era casado. De Santos, sem perspectivas, mudou-se para Colônia Blumenau, na qual chegou no dia 22 de setembro de 1879.
Como todos os imigrantes que chegavam à colônia, foi trabalhar com a agricultura, depois que adquiriu um lote colonial. Guardou o restante de suas economias, como era o costume dos colonos na época, na Casa Comercial Meyer e Sperling (prática responsável pelo surgimento dos primeiros bancos no Estado de Estado de Santa Catarina).
Não se tem muita ideia de quem foi Herbert Jacobsen, apenas sabemos que sua esposa doou o terreno para a construção deste parque um tanto abandonado recentemente.Quem souber de mais informações e quiser contribuir, fique à vontade!!
