Geocache Description:

Introduction to Geocaching

Instructors: Mike Tribe (mtribe) and Debbi Patton (verano)

Are you new to geocaching?

Have you been caching for a while but want to pick up some additional tips?

Are you're an experienced geocacher who is willing to share your knowledge and team up with some beginners to lend a hand?

Join us for an Introduction to Geocaching!

We'll meet on Saturday July 22nd
10:00am to 12:00pm
Battle Ground Community Library, Conference Room
1207 SE 8th Way
Battle Ground, WA

After the class, we'll spend some time practicing your new geocaching skills by searching for an actual geocache
All are welcome. We hope to have plenty of beginners looking to learn more. But we also hope to have some experienced cachers willing to team up with some new folks to help them around the beginner's course we're setting up at the event. We'd also appreciate experienced cachers bringing their GPS receivers that new folks can borrow out on the course if they don't have one of their own.

Our Agenda will be:
What is geocaching?
How do I get started geocaching?
What types of geocaches are there?
How do I find a geocache?
How do I hide a geocache?

Bring your GPS receiver if you have one and also bring your laptop. We'll have wireless at the event. It might also help if folks can bring some extension cords and power strips.

We hope to see you there!!

This event is sponsored by Washington State Geocaching Association. If you are a geocacher in the state of Washington, please consider joining WSGA. See the WSGA website for details.
