Geocache Description:

A class for all those who wish to learn a few tidbits about GSAK that are rarely used but actually can be quite helpful. This class is perfect for the beginner who has only used GSAK for basic features, those who have taken the Just the Basics class, or those who just want to learn a few new things. Although the class is an advanced class, you will not be intimidated.

Become a much more efficient cacher.  We have assembled a tremendous amount of how-to information into one simple, easy-to-follow, almost advanced course on how to use GSAK.

There will be a step-by-step syllabus issued to each participant. We will be using the same database of 10 caches around the country that was used in the 101 class. If you did not attend the 101 class, please let either C3GPS or Major134 know and we can send you the gpx file.

Sponsored by SLAGA

Needed for Class:

A PC, preferably a laptop and no more than two people per PC.
Power strip, just in case
GPS
Cable to connect your GPS to computer.
Flash drive
The most recent GSAK software, paid or free. Newest version as of publication is 8.7.1.22

IMPORTANT: YOUR VERSION OF GSAK MUST BE AT LEAST 8.7.1.22 FOR THIS CLASS. THERE ARE SOME ITEMS THAT GROUNDSPEAK HAS CHANGED AND THE MOST RECENT VERSIONS OF GSAK TAKE THOSE INTO ACCOUNT. FAILING TO HAVE AT LEAST THIS VERSION MAY RESULT IN UNINTENDED RESULTS.

It is recommended you have a Geocaching.com premium membership. (This is not my requirement, GSAK is very limited with the geocaching.com basic membership).

IMPORTANT: The room at the library holds 50 people. 2 of those will be C3GPS and Major134 so there are only 48 spots available. Please post a will attend note ONLY if you actually plan on attending. If it gets closer to the date and you know you will not be able to attend, please remove your will attend note so that others may take your spot, if we are near the maximum number.
