P.T.F.H. Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Butano: We have decided to archive this cache. It has been a fun cache. There are other caches nearby, including one near the final location of this cache. (This one was placed before it was required that the final coordinates be included in the cache creation, hence the two very close caches). The cache box has gone missing as well. Thanks to all who found it!

Geocache Description:

This is a multi-cache starting in one of our favorite places. The terrain is fairly flat. The final cache location is about 1.5 miles from the clues. The final cache is located in an ammo box.

This multi-cache will take you around to observe various objects and gather clues to the final location of the cache. Some of the clues have limited times of accessibility. However a visit to the site to gather some information and then a search of the web will yield the information as well.
The times of accessibility are:
March 15 through June 14 weekends 10:30 am to 4:30 pm
June 15 through Labor Day daily 10:30 am to 4:30 pm
Day after Labor Day through October 31 weekends 10:30 am to 4:30 pm
November 1 through March 14 weekends 11:00 am to 3:00 pm

The first location to visit is located at N37° 14.200 W121° 58.458’. This cache is actually a roaming cache, but if you remain at the location given, during the times listed above, the answer will come to you. You need the identification number that will be either a 4-digit number, or, if you are lucky, a single digit. This number will be ABCD or D depending on what you found.

Calculate: EFG = 1000 – D

The second location is located at N37° 14.100’ W121° 58.475’. The year of incorporation of the entity the object belongs to. This will be HIJK.

Calculate L = J – 3

The third location is located at N37° 14.189’ W121° 58.461’. There are many objects of interest here, but we are interested in them as a group. This object in its current location was dedicated on the 4th of July of what year? This will be NOPQ.

The fourth and final clue is located at N37° 14.118’ W121° 58.453’. There were many superstars when this was in use, but how many really big stars are on this one? Multiply this by 2 and this will be S.

Calculate: T = S - 1
Calculate: U = S – Q - 2
Calculate: V = 2 * S - N - 2

The final cache location is at

N37° UT.QDV W121° VE.HLG
