Bures boahtin Ohcejohkii Traditional Geocache

Perinteinen kätkö Utsjoen ja Inarin rajalla. Tuntumaan pääsee autolla. Linja-autot syytä jättää P-paikalle (N69 27.796 – E027 14.434).

The cache is a traditional one near by the border of Utsjoki and Inar. You can come close to the cache with different kinds of vehicles like cars etc. Bigger vehicles like busses is better to stop at P-place with coordinates N69 27.796 – E027 14.434). You can’t find the cache in winter.

Kuitattuasi kätkön olet saapunut Utsjoelle (tai kohta poistumassa sieltä). Utsjoki on Suomen ja EU:n pohjoisin kunta. Sen eteläinen rajanaapuri on Inari ja muutoin sitä ympäröi Norja.

Utsjoella on 1213 asukasta (v. 2020) ja se on Suomen ainoa saamelaisenemmistöinen kunta. Noin puolet sen asukkaista puhuu saamea. Matkailu, julkiset palvelut sekä perinteiset saamelaiset elinkeinot kuten porotalous työllistävät kuntalaisia. Norjan läheisyys merkitsee paitsi työllistymismahdollisuuksia myös sitä, että varsinkin Nuorgamin ja Karigasniemen kylissä kauppojen merkitys kylien elinvoimaan on iso.

Kätkö on perustettu osana Kiilopään kesäkuun 2017 Megamiitin toimia. 

When You have logged the cache You have already reached Utsjoki area (or You’ll leave it soon). Utsjoki is the northmost municipality in Finland or whole European Union. The neighbor in the south is Inari and otherwise Utsjoki is surrounded by Norway.

There are 1213 inhabitants (2020) in Utsjoki and it is the only municipality in Finland where Sami people are majority. About half of the people speak Sami language. Travelling, public services and traditional Sami livelihood like reindeer herding give living possibilities to people. There are three villages Karigasniemi, Utsjoki and Nuorgam in this municipality. Because Norway is so near it gives possibilities to work there and Norwegian people use to do shopping especially in Karigasniemi and Norgam.
