This cache has been archived.

Dumpster41: Sadly, this tree has suffered and appears to have died.

Therefore looking at the last logs and taking into account other comments received, I think it is wise to archive this cache.

Thanks to all who found it, I hope you enjoyed the climb.

Geocache Description:

Higher Walton is a village in South Ribble, Lancashire, England.

It is on the old road between Blackburn and Preston where it crosses the River Darwen. The road, at this point, is now part of the A675.
The main road through the village has a number of shops, including a post office, a bicycle shop and takeaways. The village has two pubs and there is a church and a primary school in the village.
The M6 motorway passes through the village, west of the centre, and crosses the River Darwen and A675 Higher Walton Road on a 474 feet (144 m)-long bridge that was built as part of the Preston Bypass and opened in 1958.
The village was formerly called Moon's Mill, and developed around a cotton mill in the 19th century.
The contralto, Kathleen Ferrier (1912–1953) was born in the village.

This cache is not in that village, but is at the published coordinates and the name and attributes may give you a clue to where to look.

Please ensure you only geocache within your capabilities, and are confident in your ability to reach the cache and return to ground level safely.

The cache is above ground level, and is not visible from the ground, and whilst there are lots of branches to choose from, please choose them wisely, as they are not all as strong as each other.

The cache is placed as high as I could comfortably reach given my large frame.
