SideTracked Day 2017


SideTracked Day is celebrated on the 10th of August every year, the anniversary of the first SideTracked cache. This year is special, because it is the 10th anniversary.

I will be inside Liverpool Street Station. There's a (slightly) tucked away corner on the Right as you face the escalators up to the Bishopsgate exit where there's a Starbucks coffee shop and a W.H.Smith newsagent, on the opposite side to platforms 14 to 18. In that corner there is some seating, and I will be somewhere there.

The event will be at at the listed coordinates at:
18:00 to 19:00 on Thursday 10th August 2017

Please log a Will Attend if you think you will be there. It would be nice to know that you're coming! :)

Profile Badge Souvenir


To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the SideTracked Series, on 10th August 2017, the series organisers will be publishing a unique Profile Badge souvenir for anyone that wants to celebrate the 10th Anniversary, that you will be able to add to your geocaching.com profile page.

What the Profile Badge will look like is still under wraps, but details of the previous years' Badges can be found at the following link, and this year's one will be added to the page when it is released (including instructions how to add it to your profile).

PROFILE BADGE UPDATE:
There will be TWO Profile Badges this year! As well as the generic one above that anyone can add to celebrate the 10th Anniversary, the nice people who organise the SideTracked Series have created separate Profile Badges for each Event that their Attendees can add to their public profile if they want to! SideTracked Geocoin


I will have some of these SideTracked 10th Anniversary Geocoins available at this event. I will add more details here if I get any.


I will be getting some of these geocoins (see above).

GEOCOIN UPDATE:
It's now good news / bad news time...
The good news is that I have received the geocoins for the event. They look amazing and I will definitely have at least a couple of each version for sale. See cache page for a picture.
Now the bad news… I have a lot less geocoins than I hoped for. The geocoins were allocated based on size of event. I know a lot of people plan to come to this, but almost no-one has done a Will Attend, so I was allocated hardly any coins.

HERE’S HOW IT’S GOING TO WORK:
Geocoins will be one per attendee. None will be sold before event day.
I know some of you are planning on going to more than one event (such as the St Pancras event in the morning). I ask that if you already have a geocoin, please let someone else get a chance to own one rather than buying a second one of the same coin.
I’m afraid most people who want one won’t get one. If the coin interests you, get there early!
