Located at 700 West C Street, Village Park offers an award-willing Summer Entertainment Series. The park boasts the largest amphitheater in Cabarrus County and continues to attract over 45,000 people annually. The Summer Entertainment Series offers concerts and movies in the park and are always free of charge. You can find a current list of events at www.kannapolisnc.gov under the tab of Programs & Events.
In addition to the Summer Entertainment Series, visitors to the park can enjoy a ride on a g-24 scale replica CP Huntington train with three coaches. The train begins operation on the first weekend in April and runs through October. The days of operation change throughout the summer with the end of the school year and the start of the new school year.
There is also a splash pad in the park that offers fun all summer long. With water cannons, geysers, and jets, kids of all ages can cool of during the summer. The Splash Pad opens Memorial Day weekend and runs through mid September. Like the train ride, the days of operation change throughout the summer.
