.... or better know as Lower Purgatory Falls, is a popular and easy hike that many locals enjoy.
"The Lower Falls on Purgatory Brook has been hard at work for settlers in the area for nearly 200 years. Starting in 1811, the falls supplied water power for a succession of lumber mill operators until the mill buildings were destroyed by fire in the 1950's."
It is now currently owned by the Souhegan Valley Land Trust.
