2012 : Année des Fransaskois - CANADA150
2012 was an important year for the Francophone community in Saskatchewan. In fact, the provincial government officially recognized 2012 as the Year of the Fransaskois.
The purpose of this official recognition was to draw attention to the importance of the Fransaskois community by celebrating the language, culture and historical role of Francophones in Saskatchewan. It also marked the hundredth anniversary of the foundation of the Assemblée communautaire fransaskoise, the organization that speaks on behalf of Francophones in Saskatchewan.
Many events were held, including a ceremony at the Legislative Building and festivities in communities throughout the province.

2012 a été une année importante pour la communauté francophone de la Saskatchewan. En effet, le gouvernement provincial a reconnu officiellement 2012 comme étant l’année des Fransaskois.
Cette reconnaissance officielle a eu pour but de faire connaître la communauté fransaskoise en célébrant la langue, la culture ainsi que le rôle historique joué par les francophones en Saskatchewan. Elle a aussi marqué le centième anniversaire de fondation de l'Assemblée communautaire fransaskoise, organisme porte-parole des francophones en Saskatchewan.
De nombreux événements ont été organisés, dont une cérémonie au Palais législatif ainsi que des festivités un peu partout dans les communautés à travers la province.
