Il s'agit du lieu précis du crash d'un Bombardier américain Douglas A-20 Havoc abattu par la DCA le 4 août 1944. Le Lieutenant Jerry Walsh tué, les Sergent Karl Haeuser et Sergent Fred Herman ont été faits prisonniers.
