This bridge over the Blackbrook River was built for fisherman to enable them to cross the river whilst fishing the nearby West Dart. The cache is on the south side of the river which doesn't need to be crossed if you are approaching from that direction.
The coordinates are for the centre of the bridge and to find the cache you will need to count some very simple parts of the bridge.
- How many horizontal planks are there on the top level of the bridge = PQ
- How many vertical poles are there supporting the handrail = R
- How many horizontal poles are there supporting the bridge itself = S
The cache can be found at N 50° 32.(P*Q-3)(P)(R-1) W 003° 57.(S-P-1)(R+1)(S+1)
