This is a resurrection of a cache by Adventure King of the same name, (https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC10T62_castle-gorge) originally hidden in 2007. This is the original container and contents. The cache is in the most spectacular location in the Magaliesberg. Below is the original description. As said below, do not trust your GPS in the final 20m. The cache is about 2.5m up in the cave, please be careful retrieving it, bring a torch or use your cell phone’s light to locate the cache. Please replace exactly as found, with the 90-degree twist keeping it secured.
The hike is about 12km and you’ll cross from Gauteng to the North-West province at the summit of the climb. From the parking location, follow the waypoints up the mountain. Take plenty of water, your swimming costumes and pack in some food. As with any longer hike, pack in a first aid kit. The hike is strenuous but can be accomplished by most. Please be careful in the Gorge as there are very high cliffs. Do not enter the lower pool on the cache level as there is no way out!
Once you have found the cache, you can go to the bottom two levels by hiking around the left of the Gorge downhill. Getting up to the second level must be done with a dangerous climb, so please be careful if you wish to visit it. It is incredible, so worth it.

This cache is only for the fit and adventures and will take you to the most beautiful place in the Magaliesberg. You will discover the spectacular hidden crystal clear pools and waterfalls of Castle Gorge.
You will need to get a permit from the Johannesburg Hiking Club to enter this controlled area. You can contact Jean Williams on 011 462 2993 8H30-12H30 weekdays. The Mountain Club of South-Africa also has meets going to this area that you can join if you do not want to go alone. From inside the lockup parking S25 49.582 E27 36.772 follow a footpath going north until you reach WP1 S25 49.374 E27 36.757, follow the dirt road to WP2 S25 49.256 E27 36.782 and take the left fork to WP3 S25 48.933 E27 36.714, from this old parking area take the footpath going north to WP4 S25 48.601 E27 36.390 and continue to WP5 S25 48.731 E27 36.028 from here follow a Jeep Track to WP6 S25 48.732 E27 35.471 follow the footpath turning off to the right until you reach Piranha Pools.
This cache is located between the first and second waterfall in a small hidden cave. The co-ordinates are as close as what I could get but do not trust the accuracy. Follow the path from Piranha Pools, you will pass a bit of a wetland area and get to a stream. Cross the stream and follow it down on the true left-hand side. You will get to a +/- 6m-rock chimney that will take you down to a lower level. There are 4 main levels in total, the top level you hiked on, the second level is where the cache is with 3 big pools (do not use the third pool, POOL OFF NO RETURN), the first level is a nice swimming and dive area only reached by abseiling down or to climb it from the last level up the ground level. At the second level, you can climb out to the left side which also leads to the ground level if you are not comfortable climbing the chimney back up. The cache slides in between two rocks but you need to turn it about 90 degrees before removing it and after you replaced it. The turn is what keeps it in place.
