This cache is part of the Monroe County Forever Green Geocaching Challenge's West End Region.
Property Info- The Pohoqualine Fish Association owns almost all of the McMichael Creek in Chestnuthill Township, but with the assistance of the Monroe County Open Space Bond Fund, a conservation easement was placed on over 694 acres of their property. This 530-acre public access portion of the conservation easement is adjacent to the State Game Lands 38 and is also open to hunting. While exploring these headwaters of the McMichael Creek, make sure you're wearing your orange during hunting season, and make sure you leave no trace, in order to protect this valuable aquatic resource!
