Kane Lake is a 10 mile round trip hike worth every step. A beautiful lake with waterfalls and steep sheer cliffs.
To get to Kane Lake you will need a car with pretty high ground clearance. The dirt road to the trailhead is bumpy, rough and crosses the creek in a few places. Slow and steady wins the race here! The hike starts off pretty easy and well defined but about 3 miles in the route finding gets a bit tricky(should be no problem with a GPS!). The hike is punctuated with wildflower filled medows, towering rock cliffs and peaks, beautifull creeks and waterfalls. Once at Kane Lake you will be surrounded by cliffs and peaks over 11,000 feet with waterfalls plunging down 1000's of feet into Kane Lake. Plan on spending at least an hour here soaking in the increadible views.
