The cache is located within the Ramat Negev Regional Council, in the Negev desert. The Regional Council has its headquarters located on highway 40.
The Ramat negev headquarters are located on highway 40, between Mashabei-Sade and Tlalim. The Regional Council houses kibbutzim, moshavim, and communal settlements. Revivim and Sde Boker are notable as the former residences of prime-ministers Golda Meir and David Ben-Gurion, respectively. The Regional Council also has many tourist sites, including Avdat, Halutza, Nitzana, and Shivta, three of which are now listed as world heritage sites. It hosts an ancient incense route, as well as the Makhteshim. Finally, it houses the Kornmehl Farm (goat cheese farm and restaurant) on highway 40, approximately two kilometers after the Talalim junction, in the direction of Sde-Boker.
