It's time to shed that winter coat and hit the trails without the snow. The snow will be gone right??? Fingers will be crossed that there will be no snow. We plan on kicking off the summer caching season with a hike at Bead Lakes and a hotdog roast afterwards at the nearby Grayling Lake. Bring whatever you would like to roast on the fire, beverages and lawn chairs. We will supply the fire.
Bead Lakes, an enjoyable day hike for the family, is named for the chain of small lakes found at its mid-point. While on this trail, you will pass through a mature white birch forest, and an understory of hazel, young aspen and white spruce. The trail difficulty is rated at medium and is a 4km long. It shouldn't take more than 2 hours to hike.
A park pass is required to be in the park. Your in luck as they are free for 2017 so be sure to pick one up.
