War Memorial #238 ~ Fowlmere
Fowlmere war memorial is a cross in the centre of the village at the junction of London Road (B1368) and Shepreth Road (High Street and Long Lane) and takes the form of a cross mounted on a plinth with a two stepped base. There are 11 names for World War 1 and 2 for World War 2. In 2000 the name of George Payne was added to the memorial. The memorial was dedicated on 10th December 1919 and rededicated 20th September 2000. To erect it cost £120 from public subscription.
