Geocache Description:

The Summer Village of Lakeview was founded on December 31, 1913 when they separated from the Village of Wabamun. It wasn’t until the 70’s that Lakeview’s population started growing. In 1974, Robert and Helen Powelson purchased a piece of property in Lakeview. Helen recalls many memories of sand castle building, swimming, canoeing and waterskiing during the summer and ice fishing, skating and tobogganing during the winter months. These traditions are still carried out through the residents there now.
