Geocache Description:

VILLAGE SIGN SOUTH LOPHAM

Village signs is a series of caches based on the ornate signs that depict the heritage, history and culture of the villages that put them up (normally on the village green!).

South Lopham is in the county of Norfolk.

It is recorded in the Domesday Book as Lopham, later becoming known as Lopham-Parva to mirror the existing village of Lopham-Magna (now North Lopham), and then finally becoming known by its present name of South Lopham

On the back of the village sign there is some writing, count the number of letters in each word and take these as A B C & D

The cache can be found a short drive away at N52 23 B A (D-C)  E000 59. C A B

If anybody would like to expand this series please do. I would just ask that you let Smokeypugs know first so they can keep track of the Village Sign numbers and names to avoid duplication.
