Made in Heaven is the fifteenth and final studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 6 November 1995. Some months before his death, knowing that he was on borrowed time, Freddie Mercury told his bandmates, "Get me to sing anything, write me anything and I will sing it and I will leave you as much as I possibly can." After Freddie's death, the three remaining band members worked with vocal and piano parts that Mercury had recorded, adding fresh instrumentation to the recordings. Brian May said that Made In Heaven "was possibly the best Queen album we ever made. It has so much beauty in it. It was a long, long process, painstakingly put together. A real labour of love."
When lead singer Freddie Mercury made his grand exit, that basically spelled the end of the band Queen--at least the band that was known and loved all over the world. There will never be another Freddie Mercury, and there will never be another Queen as we know it.
Some people believe that a photograph can steal a person's soul. If that's the case, then perhaps the spirit of Freddie is still among us.
