Geocache Description:

The Paglesham village sign which stands by the approach road was designed and made by resident Rodney Choppin in response to a general initiative to mark the Millennium by Rochford District Council and the decision to commission a village sign was taken by the Parish Council. It was erected in September 2000. The sign is made from hardwood, hand carved and then painted. The post is English oak from Thetford Forest. The pictures represent the agricultural and seafaring traditions of the village. Flanking the Essex shield underneath, are a Pagel [or Cowslip], and an Oyster shell. Don't forget to bring your scribbler, and Oh! good luck to you. 🚜

If anybody would like to expand this series please do. I would just ask that you let Smokeypugs know first so they can keep track of the Village Sign numbers and names to avoid duplication.
Well done to $tu on the FTF.
