Lost Loot of Long Lake Found!

King Boreas held the last known location before it was plundered and moved to another spot in this vast park expanse. Using the information from GC1WY32 and some other clues at the New Brighton Area Historical Society Train Depot, Geary&Co. have found the new hiding spot for the Lost Loot of Long Lake...



A brief history:
Ma Barker and the Alvin Karpis gang were known around these parts as it is rumored they hid $150,000 in a canvas wrapped metal box underneath a fence post between Chatfield and Rochester along the old state highway 52.

In Henderson in Sibley County, there are two treasures. One is in a stand of trees; no one knows the exact location. However, the other one might be a bit easier to locate. Charles Ney was a brewery operator in Henderson for many years. He never put any of his fortune into the bank, and it is believed to be on his property.

Many people hid their valuables on their property or at the location of their businesses just as Charles Ney. Some of these include:

H. Lilly hid $60,000 on his property in LaCrescent.

Thomas Fontaine hid his fortune on his farm just east of Mentor.

Money from an unknown source is believed to be hidden on the west bank of the Mississippi River in the area we now know as Minneapolis. The amount of money is estimated to be around $5,000 in gold coins.

In Wadena, bandits hid their treasure close by the woods before the posse caught up with them and a gun battle began in which the bandits were killed.

In New Brighton, a chest of golden coins awaits you. Hundreds of searchers in late April 2009 were unable to find this stash. It is inside a castle, which was moved from its previous location. The castle was almost confiscated by a constable from Canterbury Shire, but the fast-talking King prevailed. Documents which may assist you are included here. This is where the trail ended...until now...

UPDATE: 12-9-2016:

Geary&Co. were taking a walk through Long Lake Regional Park and wondering why all of the trees were disappearing while admonishing some recent development nearby that is encroaching on this beautiful park when they stopped at the NBAHS Depot to let the kids explore while reading some more names on the deck boards that make up the platform of this wonderfully remodeled piece of history.

Looking for a potential spot to hide a geocache, G-Co. found what appeared to be an illegible scrap of paper stuck underneath the first and second step up to the depot deck. Upon further investigation, it turned out to be a Ramsey County geocache placement request form on one side and a set of clues on the reverse side. The clues, it turns out, were written by "Tintagel Castle Movers, Inc." and after some ciphering lead us to the eventual new spot for the Lost Loot of Long Lake!*

UPDATE: 1-9-2017:

Geary&Co., thinking they had struck it rich, checked with King Boreas and the NBAHS and after much legal wrangling was told the Lost Loot would need to be kept on display in the park for those who seek it out. The container and contents were determined to be of historical significance and not allowed to be removed for personal or commercial gains. Geary&Co. have supplied some trade-able trinkets for those that seek this out.

At the posted coordinates:

AAA: Largest vehicle's I.D. number multiplied by 2.

XX.XXX: Long Lake+St.Paul+Minneapolis. Round up to next whole number. Multiply by 603.7.

*Stage Two: Please do not take the loot inside and make sure to check the attributes for help.

*Final Stage: All items are for trading.

UPDATE 1-10-17:

How long will the loot remain found? Will it disappear and be placed elsewhere? Only time will tell...
