Metheringham Methodist Church
The current Methodist Chapel* was built on the site of the old village pound. The land was purchased in 1904, the first stones laid in 1907 and the building opened for worship on 20th May 1908.
The chapel is built on a grand scale, Gothic in style with two transepts. It is able to seat 300 people and is known as one of the ‘Cathedrals of Village Methodism’. The church and hall are classified as a Grade II listed building.

Street parking is available alongside the church.
Permission for the cache placement has been given by the Church Council (under the chairmanship of the ordained half of Calligmathy.)
* Note regarding nomenclature: The building is officially known as Metheringham Methodist Church, but local people (as in many villages) still call it ‘Chapel’, reserving ‘Church’ for the parish church.
