Barriere Forks Trails Regional Park (BFT) is a multi use non-motorsport trail network for all seasons. In winter the park is used for crosscountry skiing and snowshoeing. In summer it is used for horse back riding, hiking and cycling.
Follow the road to the bottom of the hill. When reach the base of the hill you will see a modern log cabin on the banks of the Barriere River and hidden in the overgrowth you will see the remnants of an old log farm house.
Some trails skirt along the river while others wind through the forest. The trails lead to a log cabin that is located on the Barriere River bank. Adjacent to the cabin is an abandoned home that is slowly being reclaimed by the environment. Along the trails are some rest points with benches and picnic tables. Fishing can be rewarding along here and wildlife can often be seen along the river.
