Geocache Description:

After all those twists and turns on the road, here's a 5 minute stretch of the legs to an even better view!

The cache is just up the track from the rest stop and cairn at the highest point of the Crown Range road between Queenstown and Wanaka. At 1077m, this road is the highest sealed road pass in the country.

As such, during the winter please follow ALL posted warnings for road conditions and requirements for chains.

There's the choice of a 1 hour or 6 hour walk from here during the summer months, both of which provide breathtaking views and are a great break for those suffering from the twists and turns of the road up to this point!

This can be considered a proper replacement for Head Bling after losing multiple ammo cans at that spot, and the old cache will be archived after the next loss.

This one is for those willing to walk the extra 5 minutes up the track for better views and a bigger cache.

Warning: be careful of the Speargrass/Spaniard plant as it can inflict serious injury.
