Geocache Description:

It's time for our annual CacheWalker Twixmas bash! This time it’s a step down memory lane for the original CacheWalkers, as we’re heading back to Willersey - the location of the first CacheWalker Twixmas event, held almost 10 years ago.
Everyone is welcome to attend, cachers old and new.

Twixmas 2016
09:15 meet for a 09:30 depart for the CacheWalker pre-event group walk
As is Twixmas tradition, there will be a pre-event group walk taking place before the event. We will meet in the car park of Willersey Village Hall. The route is approximately 4 miles long, with one slight incline and one steep climb (puff-puff!). There will be new caches placed to coincide with the event en-route. We must reiterate that this is a pre-event group walk, therefore you are not obliged to attend. We are simply noting it here so that you are aware of all the going-ons for the day, in keeping with the Event guidelines. Please don't forget to bring a change of footwear for the official event afterwards, as some of the route might be muddy.

12:00-14:00 - The event, Willersey Village Hall, Willersey
The event will take place in Willersey Village Hall. We will have full access to the hall’s kitchen and toilet facilities. Lunch will not be provided by the event organisers, so bring along your Christmas leftovers or something else to eat or share around. There will be the usual amount of geochat, fun, TB/GC spotting and Secret Santa. See below for a full list of some of the activities we have planned for the day. There is ample parking by the village hall.

Secret Santa Raffle
A raffle will be taking place to fund costs for the event and some of our plans for our tenth anniversary celebrations next year. If you can bring along a wrapped gift, ideally Geocaching related (that you would want to receive!) that would be great. On arrival, please put your wrapped gift on Santa's Raffle table . THEN DON'T FORGET TO PURCHASE A RAFFLE TICKET. Each present will be selected and a raffle ticket drawn from the lock 'n' lock box!

Caches
As with every year, there’ll be new caches released to coincide with the event. There are also plenty of existing caches in the area for you to find before, after or during the event. We're told that Rob of Willow Wisps will be crafting some interesting containers for the new caches!

Other activities

Awards - it’s time to announce the winners of the CacheWalker Race to Rio travel bug race. We will also launch the next CacheWalker SuperBike Challenge and, since it will run during CacheWalker’s 10th birthday year, we want to make it BIGGER than ever!
TB/GC Swapping and Spotting - as usual, there will be time for trackable swapping and spotting. Why not drop your TBs in the box for another cacher to pick up and move on? We had a great geocoin display at our Twinew Bash earlier this year... who knows if we'll have attendees setting up again!
FTF draw - all attendees will be entered into an FTF draw. The winner shall go home with a little prize!
