Geocache Description:

This puzzle was the centerpiece of the October 2016 Caching Conundrum, a monthly gathering in Columbus that mixes a normal meet-and-greet with a puzzling competition. In addition to the normal prize support, attendees were treated to a bonus cache. To those who were not in attendance and care about such things, it is important to note a first-to-find is not available as this container has already been blessed with human interaction.

Solve the puzzle below by completing following the directions given by the signposts. Each number from 1-120 will appear in a box one time only. The numbers will form a chain, whose form is dictated by the logic of the arrows. One number points to the next in consecutive order in the direction of the arrow in its box. The number of squares to the next digit will vary and is in no way dictated by the numbers in the box. The chain can move a single cell or it can move all the way to the border. For example, the first box, number 1, points to the right, where you can see the number 2 is six slots away. The chain will probably cross itself many times. When you have successfully completed the grid, use the mathematical equation below to compute coordinates for the location of the container.
